Throughout the tour you will be accompanied by both native Indonesian and native English speaking guides; our photography experts will lead you to the best iconic locations as well as taking you off the tourist trail to get some really special shots.
Typically on a given day we will shoot during the best light at sunrise and sunset and have free time during the day to explore and/or relax and enjoy the hotel. Depending on the location we will also visit suitable spots during the day and will have opportunities for processing workshops throughout the tour.
Day 1-2 Kuta area
We meet you at the lively area of Kuta, not far from the airport and have an orientation to welcome you to the tour and to Bali. Sunsets at Kuta will focus on seascapes around the iconic temples of Tanah Lot and Uluwatu. We'll have some great opportunities for shooting light-trails and street photography at night of Kuta and capture urban temples and culture at sunrise.
Day 3-6 Ubud/central area
Ubud is the beating heart of culture and art in Bali as well as being perfectly located for golden hour shooting sessions at rice fields and temples. During the day we will visit the Monkey Forest Temple to get some shots of the cheeky monkeys and in the evenings we'll experience traditional performances such as the Kecak and Fire Trance dances. For those interested in something a little different, we'll visit Cafe Havana for a small taste of Cuba and perhaps some Salsa Dancing!
Day 7-8 Kintamani/north area
Travelling to the Northern area of Kintamani we'll be well away from the usual tourist routes and get to experience fantastic sunrises and sunsets featuring the active volcanoes of Batur and Agung as well as Bali's largest lake. The native villagers of this region hold themselves to be descendants of the original Balinese and maintain unique traditions such as the Trunyan burial site.
Day 9-13 Lombok Kuta area and beyond
On day nine we'll return to the south of Bali to take a plane across to the neighbouring island of Lombok and head directly to the southern coast which features fantastic opportunities for seascapes at both sunrise and sunset. Lombok is much less developed than Bali with untamed landscapes and traditional rural villages all set to the epic backdrop of Indonesia's second highest volcano, Rinjani.
Fly back to Bali, final night in Kuta.
